In sponsoring one of the individual injectors of the new structural project surrounding the Daytona Speedway, Toyota sought to create a welcoming environment that would engage visitors from building approach to stadium seating. The design team developed a multi-layered system of themed displays throughout the stacked space, covering concessions, informational panels, interactive kiosks, and of course Toyota cars and trucks. Visitors are encouraged to take selfies with their favorite Team Toyota drivers, put themselves in the race through an interactive cockpit simulator, get up close and personal with NASA’s Endeavor as it’s pulled by a Toyota Tundra through the streets of Los Angeles, test drive the latest Toyota models through a themed obstacle course, follow the progress of the Toyota Ever Better Expedition as it makes its way across five continents, enjoy a bird’s eye view of the midway at one of the many upper level dining areas, and read the extraordinary stories of everyday heroes chosen among the thousands of Toyota employees across the US.
The theming behind Florida Hospital’s experiential graphics system at Daytona Speedway centers around a spiritual and holistic approach to wellness. Messages of inspiration and encouragement to live a healthy lifestyle permeate the space, incorporating the healthcare provider’s colorful branding.
The sunrise concept was presented as a facade wrap which would give visitors the sensation of enlightenment as they ascend the staircase to the exhibit spaces beyond.
